Quinn's First Blog Entry

My personal reasons for going on this diet is to lose weight and feel good about myself. I have never been able to wear a bikini and I really wish that I would be able to.

There is only one place in the whole world that I actually feel comfortable in. That is a Lake in British Columbia called Shushwap Lake. I have gone there for at least a week every year of my life. This year I have made my mind up and if this is the last year that I am able to go, I want to make it the best by enjoying it and feeling like I have actually accomplished something in the last year. I want to be able to sit on the dock in a bikini and feel totaly relaxed and to not feel uncomfortable about my weight.

With the help of a supporting family and the right frame of mind, I am confident that I can reach my goal and feel satisfied about my weight.

Hey, all. My name is Heather, and Quinn Gratton is one of my closest friends. I love and admire her and her personality, and I would like to do anything to make her feel better about herself, her appearance. (Although to me, it doesn't really matter what she looks like because she's always special.) I just want her to know that whatever she is determined to do, she should never give up and keep going on. Never give up! But remember, Quinn - feeling genuinely good comes from the inside, deep down. I just want to keep encouraging you, because it is indeed of great importance to have a good body and keep it healthy. But Jesus loves you no matter what you look like, and I love you, too, and am praying for you. God bless you!

Quinn,
Take it from me... (overweight most of my life) it's not what you want your life to be about... One day you look back and wish you had done something about it much earlier, because the pounds just keep piling on. You can do it. You really can. The key it to stick with it no matter what setbacks you may have... just pick yourself right back up and keep trudging.
The fact that your whole family is doing it together and is behind you 100% in your effort is awesome. You will do it. You will!!!

ps WOOT WOOT!!!

Just to let you know - The Roberts, Schneiders and the Nortons - Think what you are doing is fantastic. It takes a lot of guts to fight the battle of self change, let alone to post it for everyone to see. You are an inspiration to us in how you have set a goal, written it down and gone after it! Keep it up! Remember - Go Hard or Go Home.
